My Story
Hey Fellow Muso,
If music performance anxiety feels like your silent struggle, you can rest assured that I've been there too. But I've also seen what's possible from the other side. How Hypnotherapy Set Me Free
It was an insidious feeling which grew alongside my career. At first, it didn't give much away, but with time, its ugly edges started intruding into my performances. Hidden behind my smile and profession persona, the uncomfortable feeling of self-doubt routinely pervaded my experience.

"With little freedom to express myself, it felt as if the anxiety was throttling me with its bare hands, as I fought not to lose control"

It was a frustrating paradox I couldn't predict. Sometimes it pushed me to play my absolute best. Other times it clipped my wings and tied me down. With little freedom to express myself, it felt as if the anxiety was throttling me with its bare hands as I fought not to lose control. The fear in those moments was indescribable. The aftermath was an unshakable feeling of humiliation and deep disappointment in myself.
My Revelation: Hypnosis For Musicians Really Works!
Determined not to let self-doubt continue to defeat me, I stumbled upon a hypnotherapist who opened my eyes to huge change. In awe at how much he helped transform my life, I felt called to do the same for others.
A couple of years later, with a hypnotherapy diploma in my hand, my mission began. I've since helped countless musicians free themselves from anxiety. I'm currently working on creating a library of anxiety-busting tools to help with your performances. Until then, explore how you can work with me one-to-one and see how powerful hypnotherapy for music performance anxiety really is.
About Me
My musical journey started with a tiny Casio keyboard aged 7 years old. The double bass followed at 10. It was big and deep, and I loved it.
From humble beginnings, I went on to study double bass performance at the Royal Academy Of Music and The Juilliard School. I've since enjoyed a varied orchestral career, performing with world-renowned orchestras and ensembles on many of the greatest stages.
It was later in my career that my very first love, piano, took centre stage, although I have spent many years teaching and accompanying. It took working with my hypnotherapist to clear a lot of mental baggage, but that's another story, for another time. Speaking of which, did anyone mention my book?
