Get In Touch

My musical journey has been diverse, and in many ways, unconventional. I like to do things differently. As a highly experienced orchestral and solo musician with a joint specialism on piano and double bass, coupled with a diploma in hypnotherapy, I have a unique set of skills and experience to impact my work with musicians.

A Wealth Of Professional Performance Experience

Following 2 years with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, I trained at the Royal Academy of Music and The Juilliard School. I have since enjoyed a varied performing career encompassing classical, ballet and opera, to more popular musical genres.

Professional engagements as a double bass player have taken me around the UK and Europe with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, Philharmonia, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Opera North, English National Ballet, English Touring Opera (Olivier Award winners 2014), Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, St. Petersburg Ballet and many others. I have performed at the BBC Proms under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle and Sir Andrew Davis, as well as working with other notable conductors and soloists such as Sir Colin Davis, Marin Alsop, Andrew Litton, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Benjamin Zander and Pierre-Laurent Aimard.

Touring musicals include Phantom of The Opera (Cameron Mackintosh), South Pacific, and War of The Worlds (Jeff Wayne). I have been lucky enough to share the stage with many named artists such as Paul McCartney, Jason Donovan, Lesley Garrett, amongst many others.

As a solo pianist, I have performed solo recitals in venues across London including Southwark Cathedral, St. Paul’s Church Covent Garden, the 1901 Arts Club, St Mary’s Perivale, and Citylit. I have also accompanied extensively for exams, concerts, competitions, masterclasses and festivals.

Teaching & Coaching

As a highly experienced instrumental teacher, I have taught at the Royal Academy of Music Junior School, Bromley Youth Music Trust, Ealing Junior Music School and Dunraven School, as well as having my own thriving private teaching studio in London. My students have been competition winners, alongside receiving places in the London Schools Symphony Orchestra, South London Youth Orchestra, Guildhall School of Music, Royal College of Music and Royal Academy of Music.

I have considerable experience as a performance coach, working one-to-one with a wide range of musicians. My performance coaching work combines my skills as a musician, teacher, hypnotherapist, coach and master practitioner of NLP. My work specialises in performance mastery and in particular, performance anxiety.

I have presented group workshops and masterclasses at distinguished institutions such as the Piano Teachers Congress of New York and the World Piano Conference in Serbia, with a focus on performance psychology and musicians’ mental wellbeing.
